Background-free electric-field imaging with Rydberg fluorescence
Our paper on background-free calibrated electric-field imaging with Rydberg-state fluorescence and Autler-Townes splitting is out in Optics Express 34, 25823.
A decay channel that stays dark without the millimetre-wave field gives high-contrast images with zero background, and the Autler–Townes splitting calibrates the local field across the vapour cell, revealing standing-wave patterns.
